What Can I Expect at My ThermiTight® Consultation?

Dr. Boll will listen carefully to your concerns, examine the skin to be treated, and thoroughly explain the procedure, with this initial consultation usually taking about an hour.

Our consultation fee is $100 and is due when you schedule your visit. To keep the price this low, this fee is non-refundable but will be applied to the cost of your procedure.

Procedure

How Does ThermiTight® Work?

The ThermiTight® procedure does not take very long, with most sessions lasting less than an hour; however, this could be more, depending on the number of areas being treated.

After a local anesthetic is administered, a thin probe is inserted beneath the skin to precisely heat the deep layers of the dermis. While the probe heats the deep tissue, a specialized infrared camera monitors the temperature of your skin, making sure it stays in the optimal range between 50 to 65 degrees Celsius.

At this temperature range, collagen production in your skin is substantially increased. Collagen is part of the support structure of the skin, and new collagen production firms and tightens sagging skin. The results are firmer, tighter, more youthful skin.

What Is Recovery From ThermiTight® Like?

The side effects for ThermiTight® are very minimal, considering the excellent results the procedure offers.

Swelling and redness may occur, and the area may be sensitive following your treatment. Most patients feel great within three to five days and opt to return to work. Some patients experience swelling that lasts up to 10 days.

Will My ThermiTight® Treatment Leave Scars?

Treatment with ThermiTight® does not typically leave scars because there are no actual incisions, only tiny punctures for the needle to feed the ultra-thin probe beneath the skin.

If you opt to receive liposuction along with your ThermiTight® procedure, you can expect a two to three millimeter incision that should heal and be barely visible, if at all.

Results

When Will I See My ThermiTight® Results?

Patients may experience some results immediately, with effects improving over a period of one to six months as new collagen in your skin is produced. While your skin will continue to age, your results should last for years.

Generally, ThermiTight® does not require multiple treatments, but depending on the individual and the target area, an additional treatment session may be recommended to achieve the best results.

This treatment can last many years depending on your health and how you take care of your skin. If you keep your skin healthy by eating right, drinking plenty of water, and maintaining a stable weight, your results can last five years. However, if you smoke, expose yourself to the sun regularly, and lose a significant amount of weight, your results may only last two to three years.

When will I see the final results with ThermiTight®?

Results from ThermiTight® skin tightening appear gradually. You may notice subtle results within a week and then see more impressive results as early as three months with continued improvement for up to six months. Taking a closeup photo every month for six months is recommended to see the results clearly.

Am I a good candidate for ThermiTight®?

Women and men between 18 and 65 are the best candidates for treatment with this device. Your heart and lungs should be in good health, but the overall medical requirements aren't as strict as for more invasive surgical procedures.

You should also have realistic expectations about the treatment which treats loose but not excess skin.

You should not receive treatment with this device if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid ThermiTight® if you have any metal in the area(s) to be treated.
