Recovery
Every recovery is different based on which procedures you choose. Swelling and bruising are common after any surgical procedure. This is temporary and will subside within the first few weeks following your procedure. A compression garment should be worn as well to help minimize these effects and aid in the recovery process. Dr. Boll will provide a list of aftercare instructions to ensure the best results following surgery.
For the first few days, rest is advised. Keep your body reclined (with your head above the body) to promote blood flow through the body and help minimize swelling. Most patients resume light daily activities after the first few days and can return to work after the first week or two. More strenuous activities (such as exercise) should be avoided until cleared by Dr. Boll.
Scars
The visibility of scarring depends on a variety of factors, including the body’s ability to heal. Whenever possible, incisions are made in natural body contours or hidden from view so they will be inconspicuous. If this is not possible, visible scars may lighten gradually over time.
Cost
The cost of a Mommy Makeover depends on a variety of factors. The biggest determining factor is the choice of procedures performed. Costs will increase as the number of procedures increases. Dr. Boll will provide a detailed estimate of costs during the pre-surgical consultation. We have financing and prepayment options available to patients.
Pain
Moderate pain is typical after the procedure. The severity and duration of this discomfort will depend on the number of procedures performed and the conditions addressed. Dr. Boll will provide suggestions for pain medication to manage any discomfort. For any concerns about pain, or if the pain becomes too severe to manage, please contact our office immediately.
Dr. Boll, you have changed my life!

Are my Mommy Makeover results long lasting?
There is no way to guarantee how long your results will be maintained, but typically, a Mommy Makeover provides long-lasting results. While you will see significant improvements in your appearance, they are not necessarily permanent. Significant shifts in weight can undo the results of liposuction and tummy tuck surgery. Additionally, aging can affect the positioning of the breasts, and even implants may require replacement.
What are the risks associated with a Mommy Makeover?
There are risks associated with all surgical procedures, including:
- Infection
- Bleeding
- Poor scar healing
- Reactions to anesthesia
Dr. Boll will provide clear instructions for preparation for surgery and your aftercare. By following these instructions, you will minimize your risk of complications.
What kind of sedation is used for a Mommy Makeover?
Your Mommy Makeover is performed under general anesthesia. A board-certified anesthesiologist will monitor you during your procedure.
How can I prepare for my Mommy Makeover?
During your consultation with Dr. Boll, she will provide a detailed list of pre-operative care instructions. It is advised that you prepare for your surgery by following these instructions carefully. If applicable, you should cease any smoking at least six weeks prior to your surgery. Smoking hinders blood flow and can affect the healing process. Aspirin and other specified medications should also be avoided to reduce the risks of excessive bleeding during surgery.
