Abdominoplasty

An abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) is a surgical procedure designed to improve the abdominal area. A tummy tuck can extract stubborn fat deposits, tighten and excise excess skin, and tighten the abdominal muscles. Initial recovery occurs over a two to three week period, while vigorous exercise may be resumed after six weeks. The results of your surgery will be permanent; however, excessive weight gain or pregnancy may negate many beneficial effects. Therefore, we suggest that prospective patients are within 15 pounds of their ideal final weight and not planning for further pregnancies.

Arm Lift

An arm lift is designed to improve the appearance of the upper arm. It accomplishes this by removing excess fat deposits and excess skin before tightening your skin over new muscle contours. Initial recovery takes between five and seven days, during which you will need to wear a compression garment. Secondary recovery takes about three to four weeks, during which most non-strenuous activities may be performed. The results of your arm lift will be permanent; however, excessive weight gain may reduce many beneficial effects. If you have excess skin or fat weighing down your upper arms, you may be interested in an arm lift.

Body Lift

A body lift targets, slims, and contours the abdomen, hips, outer thighs, and buttocks. The body lift procedure removes excess fat and skin across the abdomen and torso before tightening the remaining skin over your new contours. The initial recovery can take between three and six weeks, during which most work and physical activity should be limited—if performed at all. A compression garment should be worn for up to six months after your operation. The outcomes of a body lift are usually long-lasting, with some results becoming effectively permanent. A body lift does not prevent natural aging or weight fluctuations, so results may gradually fade.

body liposuction

Liposuction

Liposuction removes fat cells and helps to reshape the contours of the patient’s body. It works by inserting a small tube into the targeted areas, injecting a solution that separates fat cells from the surrounding tissues, and then, using the same tube, suctions out the solution and targeted fat cells. This procedure can be performed almost anywhere on the body where fat deposits collect. After your surgery, you will need to wear a compression garment around the treated areas for about six weeks. Final results will become visible around six months after your operation. You may be interested in a liposuction procedure if you have fat deposits in undesirable areas that have not responded to diet and exercise.

panniculectomy model

Panniculectomy

A panniculectomy is a non-cosmetic surgery designed to remove excess sagging skin in the abdominal area between the belly button and the pubic region. This section of skin called the pannus, can cause medical issues like rashes or ulcerations if left untreated. This surgery removes excess skin via an incision in the lower abdomen. Initial recovery takes about four weeks for most patients, during which a compression garment will be worn to aid in healing. Panniculectomy results are usually permanent, though the effects may be reduced if the patient gains significant weight after the operation. Talk to your doctor about a panniculectomy if you are experiencing difficulty with exercise or daily activities, rashes, ulcerations, or other negative consequences caused by excess skin hanging down over your pubic region.

Thigh Lift

A thigh lift is designed to improve the appearance of the thighs. It removes excess fat and skin on the inner thighs and tightens the remaining skin over the new contours. Initial recovery takes between one and two weeks, during which vigorous activities and most work should not be performed. The subsequent recovery period lasts another two weeks, during which most patients return to work and most normal activities while refraining from physically demanding tasks. The results of a thigh lift are permanent; however, they do not inhibit the natural aging process. You may be interested in a thigh lift if your appearance or physical activities are negatively impacted by sagging skin and fat on your thighs.

labiaplasty model

Labiaplasty

Labiaplasty is designed to reduce enlarged labia and ensure symmetry and comfort. Labiaplasty surgery can reduce protruding labia lips that can cause irritation or pain during normal activities. It may also enhance the labia’s appearance by ensuring the lips of the labia are of equal size and shape. A labiaplasty procedure can also change the shape or size of the clitoral hood, which may enhance sensation during intercourse. The initial recovery period is about a week, during which most daily activities (including work) should be limited. The secondary recovery period can vary, but usually lasts around six weeks, during which vigorous activities (including intercourse) should be avoided. The results of a labiaplasty are permanent but may be altered by childbirth.

Plastic Surgery After Weight Loss

The downside to significant weight loss is the development of sagging skin. While the skin readily stretches when weight is gained, it cannot contract as easily, leaving weak and loose skin that hides your smaller, lighter physique. And unfortunately, this skin cannot be tightened through natural means. Plastic surgery after weight loss uses a combination of surgical skin and fat removal techniques to tighten your skin, reduce stubborn fat deposits, and highlight your weight-loss transformation. These techniques can address the abdomen, waist, back, thighs, arms, breasts, and more.
