Aging is inevitable. Everyone goes through this life-changing process, and along the way, our skin becomes wrinkled and less firm. Sometimes, stretch marks or acne scars cause you to be self-conscious, which prevents you from feeling comfortable in your own skin. Unfortunately, we cannot stop the effects of aging, but with the Dermapen® microneedling system, we can help you age gracefully and feel confident by recapturing a fresh, healthy look.

What Is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure that uses a hand-controlled device with small needles to puncture the outer layer of the skin. This process stimulates your body to produce new collagen and elastin, filling in lines, decreasing scars, and increasing the firmness of your skin for a more youthful appearance. Microneedling is just as effective as laser resurfacing and chemical peels. There are many advantages to the Dermapen® microneedling system. The needles are disposable, it works faster while tearing less of the epidermal skin layer, and it costs less than other microneedling systems.

What Does Microneedling Treat?

Depending on the area, the ideal number of treatments varies between four and eight sessions. Each session is spaced four to six weeks apart to ensure proper healing of the skin. Microneedling with Dermapen® treats many different skin conditions quickly, such as:

  • Wrinkles
  • Scars
  • Stretch marks
  • Poor skin tone
  • Loose skin
  • Hair Loss

After the Procedure

Because everyone heals differently, the healing time for microneedling depends on the individual. Most patients experience redness and swelling for a few days after the procedure. Once your skin is fully healed, you will be able to confidently show off your new, refreshed, and rejuvenated appearance.

If you are unhappy with the way your skin looks, microneedling with Dermapen® might be the best option for you. Contact Dr. Boll today to schedule your consultation.
